Light of the Nations
Lumen Gentium is the common name by which the Vatican II Dogmatic Constitution on the Church is known. The Church bears the true Light of the nations, which is Christ, and presents him to the world. It presents this Divine Light to the world more fully than does any other religious communion. It is in the spirit of being a countenance of this Light, as the Church much more perfectly is, that this blogspot is humbly offered.

I am happy to be a married man with a young family of six, of decent education and better sense than education (B.A., Philosophy; M.A., Religion). Reared in an irreligious home, I came to originally embrace Evangelical Christianity as a teenager in the 90's. In 2004, I and my family were received into the Catholic Church. I now work for the Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta positioned at St. Michael Catholic Church. My wife and I long for a simpler and more civil existence in this age of runaway technology and incivility. So, we are a pair of fish out of water. But we are handsome fish, and perhaps we'll find our right pond before we suffocate. One can only hope and do one's best, eh?
